Four-car effort for GDL Racing this year

Strong of a fantastic 2024 season, where it took three race wins to finish vice-champion in the Drivers standings and third in the Teams’, GDL Racing will continue to be a strong player in the GT Cup Europe this season.

The Sanmarinese squad led by Gianluca De Lorenzi, a long-standing contender in the GT Cup, has confirmed a four-Porsche 911 Cup entry in the series, all in the Am class.

Two cars will be entered full-season for solo drivers. One is Italy’s Giacomo Giubergia, who joins from the Lotus Cup Europe as a class champion.

The other is H. Mello, a former GT4 Endurance champion in his native Brazil, who has already raced in the GT Cup Europe two years ago.

Two other cars will be entered in at least four events, one entrusted to Argentina’s Fran Viel Bugliotti, who has extensively raced in single-seaters and touring cars before embracing a successful career in the music business as a DJ, while the other will be in the hands of Italy’s Danilo Paoletti, who has expeience in Porsche trophies, associated with GT expert Gabriele Lancieri, whom we remember as a regular contender and class race winner in the GT Open.
