Paul Meijer ris the first poleman of the season in the GT Cup Europe. The Dutch former single-seater driver who shares the Porsche 992 of debuting squad Burgers Motorsport by HWM with Laura van den Hengel, posted a time of 1.41.721 in this morning’s qualifying session ahead of Race 1.
He narrowly beat (+0s124) the Q1 Trackracing Porsche of Nathan Brauns, fastest in Am, with several other 992s trailing: the fastest in Silver of his teammate Gonçalo Fernandes (+0.876), the Ebimotors car of Cosimo Papi (+0s970), the FAEMS one of Luca Franca (+0s971) and the GDL car of H. de Mello (+1s208).
The first Ferrari was Mertel’s 488 of Matteo Luvisi, 12th 1s810 behind.
