Mertel Motorsport reveals line-ups of its five-car entry

Mertel Motorsport will continue to have a strong presence in the 2025 GT Cup Europe, always defending the colours of the Prancing Horse. The well-known Nuremberg-based squad, who took the Drivers’ overall title in 2024 and 2023, will field in total five cars, including two new Ferrari 296 Challenge and three Ferrari 488 Challenge.

The line-ups will be as follow:                                                                                

Car #1 (296 Challenge) will be entrusted to Germany’s young gun Antoine Berberich-Martini, who will drive alone in the Silver class;

Car #80 (296 Challenge), as already announced will be in the hands of the Italian GT experts Simone Patrinicola and Luca Demarchi, also in the Silver class;

Car #81 (488 Challenge) will see Dutchman ‘Leo Chen’ contest solo his second season in Am;

Car #82 (488 Challenge) will be entered in Pro-Am, with Mauro Trentin and Tommaso Lovati, both already seen in the series last year, at the wheel;

Car #83 (488 Challenge) is entrusted to a duo of young guns from Italy, with Matteo Luvisi 18) joining the squad after a very successful 2023 season in the series (Overall champion, 3 wins and 3 poles). He will be associated with Davide Larini, the 17-year-old son of former F.1 driver and WTCC star Nicola, who joins from Formula 4. They will compete in the Silver class.
